Kanda International Limited is a Papua New Guinean owned company that strives to provide excellent insurance services to clients based on sound, professional and ethical principles.

This approach has ensured a steady flow of clients and increase in staff numbers within the few years Kanda has been in operation. In May 2008 we have relocated our Office from Down Town to Central Waigani at the First Heritage Centre. This is a strategic location where it is more convenient to our employees, customers and suppliers. As a result we have seen a boost in staff moral and an increase in our business.

“In order for us to be successful in our industry, I consider that the way forward is to provide the most efficient and competitive service from a strategic location, fully resourced with the professionally qualified people and Office Technology,” Benn Tiki, Chief Executive Officer explained.

“Our business has been from a wide range of client base from householders and PMVs to Ship and Aircraft operators. We have established contacts from around the world to network insurance services where we place business with them if they cannot be covered in PNG. We have had overseas brokers referring business to us when some of their serviced clients move into PNG.

“Our Employees are the most important resources. We endeavor to recruit the most professional qualified people for each position within the firm. We train all our employees both in-house and from professional trainers to equip with the necessary skills that enable them to perform their roles more efficiently.

“We do encourage and support our employees to be Qualified Insurance Brokers (QPIBS) who undertake continuing professional education. This ensures they are kept up to date with the industry trends and changes so they can provide you, the insurance buyer, with quality advice,” he explained.

From its humble beginnings of a husband and wife team six years ago Kanda International Insurance Brokers now has a total of 16 staff comprising of six professional and ten technical and support staff.

“Combined, we have a total of over 100 years of experience in the insurance industry.”

We have installed the most modern equipment and technology (including Mobile pieces) to do our job more professionally and efficiently. We will continue to up grade Information Technology as we recognize this as the way forward.

Kanda International Insurance Brokers has acquired the most reliable broker system called: Complete Broking System (CBS) and this will be a good plat form on which we build our Insurance Business.

Our Information Technology support and services come from Daltron Electronics Limited locally and from Ebix New Zealand Limited overseas.

In May 1996, we opened a small representative office in Lae. This is part of our endeavors to bringing our services closer to some of our major clients based in Lae, Momase and the Highlands.” He said.
